When we looked at Ali Caufield’s IG account, we were immediately struck by her bio, which reads: “no body is perfect.” It’s a reminder that every teacher – and student – needs and deserves to hear at least once a day.
Before I look ahead, I look back with pride and gratitude for the gifts, the lessons, the opportunities and the love this past year. 2018…I’m coming for you. Studio classes this week: Monday 9:30 am, Tuesday 10 am, Thursday 7:30 pm & Saturday 8 am @synergy_hot_yoga Thursday 9:30 & 10:30 am @ltpilatesstudio #nevermissamonday #yoga #pilates #yogaforathletes #yogacoach #lululemon #lululemonambassador #synergy #yogaeverywhere #yogaeverydamnday
We read her thoughts and KNEW we needed to spend some time with this remarkable woman, yogic inspiration, self-proclaimed anatomy geek, mother, friend, and lifelong Jersey girl.
Because seriously, how many of us have imagined that we would be “perfect” or happier if we were better looking, smarter, stronger, richer, funnier, thinner, less of something, and more of something else?
Our yoga practice teaches us that perfection is not the goal. A healthy, happy, and satisfying life is based in love, learning, transformation, growth, and a willingness to live your most authentic life.
Our interview with Ali reinforced a commitment to all those things, with clarity, kindness, and intention. Learn more right here, and make sure to check Ali out in-studio at Synergy Hot Yoga and LT Pilates when you head down the shore this summer (or any time for all the locals)!

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
What would you say to 16 year old you?
Trust your instincts. Your gut never lies.

Haven’t we all? It makes me more determined.
What message do you think every woman should hear?
Peace comes from within, although I’m not sure that’s a gender exclusive message.

I love living near the ocean. It feels like I’m on a permanent vacation!

I’m an anatomy geek, so I might have a career in medicine…if I didn’t hate the sight of blood!
What is something on your bucket list?
A trip to Italy, which I’m taking in June!
What are your biggest passions?
Family, music, food, travel, sports and of course, yoga.
