In this workshop, we will go over many of the most commons mantras in the yoga world: pronunciation, meaning, and melody. We will also discover many mantras that are not so common; mantras to support healing, to cultivate the pranic field, to build a stronger relationship to higher consciousness. In this workshop we will journey through the chakras, developing an understanding of the energy associated with each one and how to heal any blocks in that energy through kriya, chanting, breath work and meditation. First we will delve deeply into the lower triangle, Chakras 1,2 and 3, the chakras where most of us find ourselves stuck, feeling insecure, unsupported, fearful, impotent, lacking prosperity, creativity and motivation. This workshop will help you to open your intuition and natural spiritual abilities to receive accurate information during your readings. Class topics include how to prepare yourself and your cards for an accurate reading, how to give yourself a daily reading, how to answer other people’s questions accurately, interpreting the cards’ true meanings & gaining confidence and clarity in your reading abilities. You will learn how to use multiple decks and do a nine card reading. We will show you how the cards tell a story. This is a very hands on class where you will be practicing doing readings on other people.
May Louie first took yoga in college to fulfill a Phys-Ed requirement and immediately fell in love. She, unfortunately, did not continue with her practice but reconnected with it when she retired from her corporate job in 2002 and has since become a serious yoga enthusiast. After her second retirement last year, she completed her 200-hour RYT certification, studying with Dina Crosta, Ellen Mosko, and Jamie Segal Hanley, with a focus on alignment based flow.
