My Dear Girl,
The future holds for you so many amazing things.
They come in the forms of opportunities, teachers, loves, and lessons. Be open to all of it and do not allow your fears and doubts get in the way of your dreams, of your progress. You have the potential to soar, so spread those wings and fly and embrace everything that comes your way, both good and bad. You will learn that life is way too short to let those experiences pass you by – so don’t. But continue to be authentically you in the process. You never let anyone tell you what to do, so continue to make your own decisions and think about them before you make them – yes, I am telling you what to do – but I’m you so trust me K?
Nothing in this life comes easy and so, you too will have your share of sorrow, grief and heartbreak. Let it consume you. Don’t be afraid of it. Just let it in with open arms. Let it swirl around you like a storm. Cry, scream, fall to the floor – however grief comes to you, let it in. Then let it go. Don’t invite it to stay. I cannot express that enough. Grief will come. And if you don’t invite it in, it will just seep into every crack in your armor and take you over without you even knowing it. Then you find yourself heavy and consumed with the pain. You don’t want that. So let it in.
And then let that shit go…
Once it’s gone, learn the lesson. Be cognizant and aware of everything, don’t just go through the motions and most importantly, learn the lesson from it. Events in our lives happen for a reason, don’t ever doubt that – so learn from it, from everything. Never stop being inquisitive and allow yourself the room to digest the answers to your questions.
Always be grateful for what you have, you don’t know how lucky you are; and be compassionate to others, you don’t know what they are going through. It will keep you soft and keep the bitterness away. Take risks, they build character and you’ll never know if you don’t try. Travel! As often and to as many places as you can – you’ll find the money, don’t pass up the opportunity. Continue to meditate – for real – and try yoga – like now. It will change and enhance you in ways I cannot begin to explain. And keep reading and writing – if for no other reason than just to feed your head.
Finally, never lose your childlike approach to life. That and your goofy sense of humor leads you right to your soulmate. The two of you together are unstoppable.
Be happy and love big sweet girl, it’s worth the effort.
