Have you heard the rumor about it almost being September, and school starting, and summer ending, and a whole bunch of other stuff we are clearly not believing?
Just kidding! Truth talk – we are crazy excited for the fall because this most gorgeous change of seasons means it is almost time for the Global Mala and the VibeWell Yoga Festival! We truly cannot wait to celebrate yoga, life, music, love, and positive vibes with all of you.
With that all being said (and yes, we just cannot help ourselves), here are the events that inspired our yogi souls this week!
August 27th at the Asbury Festhalle & Biergarten
Sunset Rooftop Yoga is back with Serena Sofer and Neil DJ Foggy Nation. After the class, try one of our health-inspired cocktails!
August 27th and 28th at Bee You Kids Yoga in Manasquan
In this 90 minute, fun and interactive workshop, children will learn strategies that will support self-regulation and self-awareness. They will learn techniques to quiet their brains in order to FOCUS better, in and out of school (homework, siblings, sports). They will also be able to use their breath effectively, identify their emotions, and be able to react appropriately in everyday situations. Kids will be able to bring these strategies seamlessly into their classrooms and school life. Kids will leave with: Mandalas to help with focus and attention, strategies and techniques to help with stressors, Breathing strategies to calm, focus, and/or energize.
August 29th at Jivamukti Yoga in Jersey City
C.C. White’s distinct Soul Kirtan performances have won her wide recognition as “The Soul Queen, Mahalia Jackson, and The Lioness of Kirtan” all embodied in one exotic, soulful being. Her unique, soul-flavored chant events effortlessly enrapture audiences, lifting their vibrations sky high with powerful, soaring call-and-response vocals and masterful musicianship.
August 30th at the Princeton Center for Yoga & Health
Awaken and unveil your true divine nature to transform your life. Michelle Jonne of Thirteenth Ray, offers a Light Language Transmission of information that speaks directly to your DNA light body, activating and restructuring your personal vibrational signature to assist you in connecting back to Source within. The energy work offered is divine grace and love to ignite your inner flame to make you whole as in “holy” once again.
August 31st at Dig Yoga in Lambertville
A unique stimulation of the imagination to help bypass the conscious censor and reveal your self-image, areas of conflict, and strategies for coping with the world. The Entangles Circles Experience is a live mixed blend of ancient and novel soundscapes comprised of sacred sound instruments including gongs, singing bowls, kyeezees, tingshaws, eastern bells, wind chimes, drilbu, kalimbajaw harp, and Russian Vast Rav Drum.
August 31st at Powerflow Yoga in Clifton
The days are longer, the air is warmer and we’re ready to take our yoga mats outdoors! Your favorite PFY teachers will lead you through the strong Hot Powerflow Vinyasa classes you’ve come to love… outside! We’ll turn the music up loud and come up with a fun theme. If it rains, don’t worry—we’ll head inside. Class is open to all levels and ages, so bring your family and friends!
September 1st at Soulful Awakenings in Lake Como
Join Jacquie and Donna as they create a space of restoration, re-alignment and relaxation, using two modalities, Reiki and the Singing Bowls. Jacquie will channel Holy Fire Reiki individually to each participant, as the Signing Bowls play. Each will received powerful life force energies to transform on all levels while feeling completely loved, safe and at peace. Donna will share the vibrational sounds of the Singing Bowls.

May Louie first took yoga in college to fulfill a Phys-Ed requirement and immediately fell in love. She, unfortunately, did not continue with her practice but reconnected with it when she retired from her corporate job in 2002 and has since become a serious yoga enthusiast. After her second retirement last year, she completed her 200-hour RYT certification, studying with Dina Crosta, Ellen Mosko, and Jamie Segal Hanley, with a focus on alignment based flow.
