Restorative Yoga is an approach to yoga that is accessible to all levels of practice. Most postures are done on the ground with multiple props so that the body is completely supported at all times. This supportive practice allows the nervous system to calm, and the mind to rest. The calming characteristics of restorative yoga soothes the mind-body, while allowing room for breath and deep relaxation.
During this workshop poses will be supported with props to release muscle tension and to encourage relaxation. As an added layer of relaxation, hot stones and essential oils will be applied for balance and aromatherapy.
In this workshop we will learn how to integrate aromatherapy into your yoga practice and bring your experience to a whole new level. Awaken your energy source, deepen meditation and allow your body and mind to experience balance on a whole new level in this Aromaflow yoga workshop. We will have a short discussion followed by a essential oil rollerball make and take and then end the evening with a relaxing and grounding Aromaflow.

Join Susan for an Aerial Yoga experience that will draw you deeper into your sense of connection with the silk. This in-depth workshop will begin with a thorough warm-up and conditioning drills, followed by the opportunity to review basic Aerial Yoga skills, and ensure a solid understanding of beginning forms and language. Then we’ll assess our balance, strength, and spatial awareness. Confidence in working with the support of the Aerial prop is crucial to safely exploring advanced forms and movements. You’ll learn some new starting places and experiment with new and challenging asana in and around the silk. We’ll try some new ways of transitioning from one position to another, with and without the support of the floor, finishing with a relaxing guided meditation in the silks. Must have had a few aerial classes prior.
This 5-hour intensive is intended for both yoga teachers and interested students to gain a deeper knowledge of the structure, history and principles of Yin Yoga. Receive the tools to develop an ongoing stillness practice and learn about the many benefits this style can offer. Expect to practice and discuss this approach to asana while questioning how our individual anatomy changes the shape of each pose and reflect on the overall effect throughout the subtle body energy system.
A dynamic blend of physical. Both safe and effective, it brings balance to the body, mind and soul. There is something for everyone, regardless of age, fitness, occupation postures, breathing, movement, stretching, meditation, mantra and relaxation, the combination of which activates the glandular system, strengthens the nervous system, expands the lung capacity, and purifies the bloodstream and experience.

May Louie first took yoga in college to fulfill a Phys-Ed requirement and immediately fell in love. She, unfortunately, did not continue with her practice but reconnected with it when she retired from her corporate job in 2002 and has since become a serious yoga enthusiast. After her second retirement last year, she completed her 200-hour RYT certification, studying with Dina Crosta, Ellen Mosko, and Jamie Segal Hanley, with a focus on alignment based flow.
