We love women who take chances, elevate our idea of what’s possible and transform the status quo.
So you will totally understand why we love Cassondra Hadel, the founder of Camaroha Sutra. In a world of black leggings, Camaroha Sutra is bringing every woman in NJ (and beyond) a new wardrobe go-to with a boho flow.
Cassondra took a few minutes out of her crazy busy schedule to talk to us about who she is, what inspires and motivates her and how she came to be the gypsy goddess of Jersey.

On why you became a designer:
It happened so organically. I feel like I feel into it; everything I have done in my life has lead me to this very moment. I did not set out to have a clothing line. It all just happened, like magic.
On your design aesthetic:
Anything I’ve ever wanted to wear I’ve had to either hunt down, or have custom made because it never seems to be available. My staple for the last ten years was black leggings – maybe even
longer than that! I left with all my leggings to live in Thailand last winter and quickly learned that practicing Ashtanga all day in 90 degree humid climate could be better. That was the moment when goddess pants manifested. The rayon is heavenly, the movement of the material is like your floating, and the colors and prints on the fabric are from another world, literally.
On your point of view:
I’ve been practicing and teaching Ashtanga in them since they were manufactured and delivered to me here in NJ from Thailand back in May. I haven’t practiced or worn anything else since, and even though I’m incredibly driven and working my butt off to get this line off the ground, I’m so comfortable doing it, it looks hot, and I’m feeling like a goddess for real.

On your muses:
The “is” is my muse. Ultimate reality “is”. All that “is” is energy, consciousness “is”. The universe as it “is” is my muse.

On work-life balance:
I’m just living!
I’ve created a life for myself that I don’t feel like I have to consciously balance, it is is balanced. Before creating the Goddess Collection, I was trading my own stocks. I literally went weeks sometimes without talking to more than a handful of people. I was so wrapped up in my Ameritrade App and the market that I was not connecting with anyone, not feeling fulfilled. The Camaroha Sutra Line has helped me reconnect to the community I am from, it’s a tangible trade with people, and the people I’m trading my commodity with have helped create such an amazing energy around the Goddess Pants.
It’s so amazing.

On growing a business:
I feel like growing a business is like growing a community – a tribe. My business is my active contribution to society. I thrive on the connections. Without the people supporting my vision and this concept, there would be no business.
