Empowerment
We throw that word around a lot – it’s the main theme of countless social media posts, hashtags, magazine articles, self-help books, and seminars. But what does it mean?!
What is REAL empowerment?
For me, it means:
→ feeling SEEN
→ feeling HEARD
→ feeling VALUED
Real empowerment doesn’t try to “fix” the situation you’re in.
Real empowerment makes you know, deep down, that you are ENOUGH – exactly as you are, where you are and allows you to accept this moment – whether awesome or terrible, for exactly what it is.
Let’s stop thinking about the things that go wrong in our lives as “failures“. Let’s even delete the word “wrong” completely. Why? Because you absolutely aren’t losing. In and through each “failure” you gain so much wisdom, strength, perspective.
Every. Freaking. Time.
You are GIFTED with failures and shortcomings because they are the most amazing way to learn.
Experience is the BEST teacher.
Let’s stop shielding ourselves and other people and from hurt and failure and let’s start ILLUMINATING what can be learned from failures and “mistakes”.
FAIL FORWARD!
LEARN from every situation. And ALLOW your experience to be empowering. Like, hey, I learned from this. I didn’t die from this. I’m better because of this. I’m a rockstar because of this.
Growing pains can itch, hurt, and sting, but the benefits far outweigh those temporary aches. Growth is a teacher. It transforms you and strengthens you.
Change is GOLDEN.
