This past week’s temperatures almost sent us into hibernation mode.
Luckily Kur Yoga brought us back with this simple reminder:
And it’s true, right? We really are responsible for creating the light. Our yoga practice invites us to do that every single day and then from there – SHARE IT.
And not just in the situations that are super convenient like – oh I don’t know – a yoga studio filled with eager yoga students. I’m talking those off the mat, deeply transformational moments.
Or maybe it is opening up our doors to those who need it most – a la Yoga for Veterans at Satsang Yoga in Westfield, NJ.
And you know what happens when you start living in the light? You fear less. You love more.
Jamie Hanley, the founder of Elevate Yoga in Hazlet, NJ, created a program focused on reframing how we see ourselves, while giving thanks for the wonderful beings we already are.
This photo made me sit back and ask – when is the last time I (emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually) hugged myself?
Sometimes that sort of self-love calls for a deep pause.
Restorative and yin practices, or maybe quality time in the bath with Mystical Blossoms’ bath salts.
Or a decadent cup of hot chocolate – specifically a vegan, turmeric, cacao mix with some hot nutty macadamia milk.
Moral of the story?
Let’s simplify. Be the light. SHINE. Share.
And do LOTS of yoga together, right here at hOMe in New Jersey!
