There are a ton of incredible things happening this week – and of course this WEEKEND – to kiss summer goodbye, welcome in a news season filled with possibilities, and of course practice YOGA.
We are going to kick this list off with THE POWER OF WE a panel discussion focusing on women’s empowerment through collaboration, happening on Tuesday night at 6:30 PM at the Entrepreneurial Think Tank for Women Foundation in Marlboro. NJYC founder, Bridget Riepl, will be offering her perspective alongside a group of incredible female powerhouses who are on a mission to shift the conversation and take action to encourage collaboration, support, and connection between women.
Why?
Because women who support women are more successful. There is no more time for competition, no more time for envy, and no more time for fear. For the first time ever in New Jersey, join the founders and leaders of ETTWomen, FemCity, eWomen, BIG, The Co-Co, The NJ Yoga Collective , and AOWIE for a powerful panel discussion about Women’s Empowerment Through Collaboration.

We also KNOW so many NJ yogis will be coming together on Sunday for the Skylands Animal Sanctuary and Rescue Benefit from 9 AM to 9 PM in Wantage NJ, to spend time with the one and only Seane Corn. In Seane’s words:
Please join me in my beloved home state of NJ for a very special yoga event to benefit the Skylands Animal Sanctuary & Rescue founded by my old childhood friend Mike Stura. I can’t imagine a better way to spend a day than being with friends and family, sharing yoga and raising money and awareness to help our animal friends. The day will begin at 9am and include yoga in a marble ballroom(!), a vegan BBQ lunch, guided tour of the sanctuary and talks on animal rescue and veganism. All proceeds go to Skylands Animal Sanctuary & Rescue!

Okaaaaaaaay – last but not least, you know we need to throw some love to the 10th Annual Global Mala on September 15th and the VibeWell Yoga Festival on October 27th at the Asbury Lanes, Asbury Hotel, and Danny Clinch Gallery. Did you get your ticket yets?! Let us know if you need more info, want to apply for a VibeWell scholarship, or just that you are already packing your yoga bag for the day in total excited anticipation (we are too).

Here’s the rest of what’s going on!

May Louie first took yoga in college to fulfill a Phys-Ed requirement and immediately fell in love. She, unfortunately, did not continue with her practice but reconnected with it when she retired from her corporate job in 2002 and has since become a serious yoga enthusiast. After her second retirement in 2017, she completed her 200-hour RYT certification, studying with Dina Crosta, Ellen Mosko, and Jamie Segal Hanley, with a focus on alignment based flow.
