We woke up today thinking, “let’s do something special this week to teach our kids, our friends, our family, and ourselves how important it is to celebrate the world and each other.”
(Does a thought go in quotes?! Grammar geniuses, please let us know ASAP).
So we hopped over to Facebook and started perusing the EVENTS suggestion, without limiting our search to “yoga stuff”, which is the usual parameter in our NJYC universe.
Of course we found yogish options because, as you all know, yogis love to love nature, all things outdoors, animals, and other human beings. But that’s not all. We found an art show, fit crawl, and a nature walk in honor of Earth Day. Amazing, right?
Here are six things you need to do with us. Our founder, Bridget Riepl, will be at the FitCrawl, so make sure to say HEY and Namaste when you cross (sweaty) paths with her!

Love In – Shine Out: An Embody Love Workshop for girls ages 7-11 with Karen Gilmour
April 14th at Alluem Yoga in Cranford
LOVE IN – SHINE OUT™ is an interactive workshop that takes girls, ages 7-11, on a journey toward love and acceptance of themselves and others. In this workshop, we introduce young girls to the concept of love, kindness, and care of self, others and the world around them through activities, exercises, and journaling. Girls will learn how their thoughts, feelings, words, and actions impact people around them. Knowing that their inner qualities are who they are and that they can use these qualities to make their communities better for themselves and others, girls leave the workshop inspired and empowered.
