To maintain our health and well being, our Chakras must be open and flowing freely. With the use of Yoga props, both on the mat, or if you choose, or a comfy chair, Dawn will guide you through the flow of energy from your Root Chakra (feet to hips), up through your Crown Chakra (top of the head) pausing at each one. At each Chakra, Dawn will guide you through focused meditation and the use of essential oils, as you gently open each energy center. This meditation will create a space to achieve peace, joy and a greater understanding of oneself.[/box]

DEEP RELEASE FOR YEAR END

December 2, 2017
1 PM
Synergy Hot Yoga
[box] Yin Yoga offers the gift of a heart-centered practice, encouraging us to relax the urge to improve, analyze, or explain our circumstances. This style of yoga works deeply into the body, targeting the connective tissues that normally are not exercised in a more active asana practice. The gentle but consistent stimulation encourages long-term health and flexibility of the joints, recharges the energetic system of the body, and naturally draws the mind inward into a relaxed, meditative state. Yin Yoga is suitable for all level of students. Most of the poses are seated or supine using props and are held with muscles relaxed in stillness for 3 to 5 minutes. Come and enjoy the deep release and surrender. You’ll focus on poses to prepare our bodies for the winter months, release tension, slow down, and stay in balance for year-end. (all levels, not hot)[/box]

YOGA TO CELEBRATE THE ADVENT SEASON

December 3, 2017
3 PM
ROM YOGA
[box] Restorative Yoga, Meditation and Chanting with Romy and Judy Donation Class* “Advent” is from the Latin word adventus which signifies “coming.” Advent is a season of spiritual preparation, reflection, cheer, and anticipation of the Nativity. Let’s use our yoga practice to create and maintain a sense of peace that really should define this season of gratitude, hope and rebirth. Join us for a restorative practice with gentle asana (postures), pranayama (breathing), relaxation, reflection, singing, prayer and meditation, incorporating the advent themes of hope, peace, love and joy. Take some time to prepare your body, mind and heart for the celebration as we incorporate the yogic principle of “Santosha” (contentment) and “Tapas” (self discipline) in our practice. *Proceeds will go to the Angel Tree Program of Prison Fellowship believes that no life is beyond the reach of God’s power. Through partnership with the local church and other nonprofit organizations, we work together to meet the spiritual, physical, and personal needs of prisoners and their families.[/box]

NJ YogaMay Louie first took yoga in college to fulfill a Phys-Ed requirement and immediately fell in love. She unfortunately did not continue with her practice but reconnected with it when she retired from her corporate job in 2002 and has since become a serious yoga enthusiast. After her second retirement last year, she completed her 200 hour RYT certification, studying with Dina Crosta, Ellen Mosko and Jamie Segal Hanley, with a focus on alignment based flow.[/box]
