Do you feel like you should be heading back to school this week?
Us too – and that vibe has us REALLY excited for the events, immersions, workshops, and trainings happening all over NJ this week. From yoga with goats to Kirtan, we know there is something for anyone and everyone seeking to learn in a “yogi uniform” – aka tank tops, leggings, and NO SHOES.

We’d also love to see your name on the list of official attendees for the 2019 Global Mala, our 10th Annual Celebration of the Sacred Cycle of 108.
108 Sun Salutations + 100s of NJ yogis + almost 20 teachers who are ready to share their practice + incredible studios pitching in to support the event (thank you Karma Barre, POE, Evenflow, and Inlet for signing on as studio partners for the Mala!) + the Asbury Park Yacht Club showing the love and letting us handle registration in their space AND hang afterward with some apps, libations, and yogi convo.
Here’s where you’ll find us this week…
Saturday at Elevate Yoga in Hazlet
Join Stephanie Barrios-Cullins, MPA, RYT-500 for meditation and a larger conversation focused on what these topics mean to us in the yoga community, among healers, and in our society in modern day America. This workshop is open to all – yoga teachers, helping professionals, healers, and students.
You’ll also have the chance to connect with Stephanie at VibeWell on October 27; she is a part of our panel discussion on Yoga and Inclusivity NOW, alongside Phyllicia, Lockey, and Alisha.
Here are the details for our VibeWell panel:
We invite you to join us for a groundbreaking conversation about inclusivity and diversity in the yoga and wellness industries: where we are, who we are, where we’ve come from, and what we can do to open lines of communication and stand in solidarity with communities whose voices are inadequately heard and represented.
“Yoga is a microcosm of what’s happening in the world,” says Grace Millsap, a Charlotte-based teacher and activist. “We are not exempt from these issues, and sometimes they become even more hush-hush, as the yoga community is supposed to be a safe space.”
Our incredible panelists are advocated for more inclusion in the yoga and wellness industries. They live that mission everyday by showing up, speaking on it, and doing something about it. Come learn from them and engage in what might sometimes be uncomfortable, but ultimately is our greatest possible path towards wholeness, authenticity, and a true 8 limbed practice of yoga.

Cacao Ceremony with Ashley Seymour
Saturday at Blue Moon Yoga in Shrewsbury
We will begin with a chakra mediation which will prepare you for the sacred cacao drink (cacao melted down with hot water). Through the meditation your inner calling and seeds of expansion shift the energy of your cacao so when it is time to drink, it is pure medicine, perfectly made for your own transformation. We then sink and rest into our journey through inner and group reflections. To end, we move through an energetic release journey where you will use a crystal to help release any last density in the heart space- letting go of anything that is restricting the pure openness of your heart space in order to expand the heart to a greater capacity of love and compassion.
Saturday at Oasis TLC in Middletown
Lay your mat in the field. Try to pay attention to yoga while baby goats climb on you, push you over and generally cause a ruckus. Join teachers from Hot and Soul Yoga and Synergy Hot Yoga Studios.

After her second retirement in 2017, she completed her 200-hour RYT certification, studying with Dina Crosta, Ellen Mosko, and Jamie Segal Hanley, with a focus on alignment based flow.
