Strength, Transformation, and Levitation Through the Art of Arm Balances with Jess Stickler
Balancing on any part of the body other than the feat is a challenge of strength as well as faith and courage! We dare ourselves to trust our physical and mental strength when we approach these magical poses. Magic quite simply is transformation, magic occurs when we transform our self-understanding from the mundane to the infinite, when we transform something that previously seemed impossible into something that is possible. This workshop will offer practices to explore arm balances, and bring us closer to understanding some of these tricky asanas, as well as techniques and modifications for all experience levels
Jessica is an advanced certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher since 2008, and also serves as a mentor in Jivamukti’s Teacher Training program. She teaches classes and workshops internationally in Australia, Germany, Trinidad, and the Czech Republic. She loves to teach a wide range of students from beginners through advanced practitioners, and has worked closely with those who are recovering from injury. Jessica’s classes incorporate dynamic movement, choreographic sequencing, with special attention to alignment and modification options. Classes are infused with a variety of inspiring music, meditation, and yoga philosophy.
