Following this beautiful breathwork practice, you will be treated to a magical sound healing meditation with beautiful Tibetan singing bowls by sound healing practitioner, Judit Duran. Judit will present a beautiful sound healing protocol focusing on all that we are grateful for. We will end with a gentle spoken practice of gratitude. Space is limited.
Friday at Honor Yoga in North Brunswick
Let’s come together this fall into a sacred space. Let’s open our hearts, soothe our minds, and excite our spirits. We will immerse ourselves in a SACRED CACAO CEREMONY by drinking a warm, rich, thick chocolaty cacao drink that will help us connect to our inner power. We will surround ourselves with music, go deep energetically into a Chakra Balancing Meditation and join collectively in breath work. We will enjoy sharing (or Satsang) and journal our intentions for our own unique healing and self transformation. Reiki Masters will provide energy healing and allow you to go deep into your own inner wisdom. Let’s start fall off a little lighter, more open hearted, and raise our own vibrations so we can move towards the best versions of ourselves.
Saturday at Dig Yoga in Lambertville
A daylong silent retreat with yin yoga, yang yoga and meditation. Taking one day to be in silence, away from our phones, our work responsibilities and family obligations, helps us refill our reservoir of prana and bring a sense of freshness back into our life. We’ll move through slow, mindful hatha yoga postures in our “yang” section and hold longer, passive postures in our “yin” section. The inclusion of both yin and yang helps balance the left and right brain, preparing us to sit in meditation with greater comfort and ease. Much of the time spent in silence is guided by Sally’s voice, with some pure silence interwoven in manageable parts. The seated and reclined meditations are also a mixture of pure silence and soft, gentle cues to bring you back to your body when your mind wanders. You’ll be given plenty of detailed instructions for all the meditation and yoga techniques, as well as variations for different levels of flexibility and experience.
Saturday at Good Vibes Yoga Bar in Nutley
Danielle Martucci guides us through a 2 hour Vinyasa practice specifically created to honor the creative energy in all its manifestations. The practice is engaging and highly influenced by the 4 elements: Air, Earth, Fire, & Water, with the idea to open up into a deeper introspection as we move around the mat. This is a non hot practice but still a strenuous practice.
Saturday at Align Yoga & Strength in Matawan
Holiday stress can wreak havoc on our musculoskeletal and nervous systems, but with mindfulness and, yes, some preparation, perhaps we can reduce the effects on our bodies and minds so that we can be fully present to enjoy time spent with family and friends This 2-hour workshop will address the entire back – neck, upper/middle back, lower back, and pelvis to address common muscle imbalances and bring awareness to the places we hold tension, especially during stressful times. Practice to include yoga asana, breath work, meditation, restorative yoga, and self-massage using Yoga Tune Up balls. Included will be a healthy dose of humor – as well as handouts with helpful tips and a sequence to do at home to help keep you sane this holiday season.
Saturday at Jiva Hot Yoga in Fords
Learn how to give a Thai massage and receive a massage then lay down on your mat and have a facial while slipping away into some yoga nidra to complete your Zen..Yoga Nidra is an ancient but little known yogic practice that’s becoming increasingly popular as a form of meditation and mind body therapy. It is a systemic form of guided relaxation that typically is done for approximately 1 hour. Come dressed comfortably, bring your yoga mat, pair of socks (your body temperature drops in deep meditation). No yoga skills or partner required for this practice. Just come and be ready to be pampered…

Standing poses are the building blocks from which all other poses, or āsanas in Sanskrit, evolve. In this workshop, we will work with the universal principles of sequencing. We will learn how to intelligently and safely link together standing āsanas in order to form a sequence that seamlessly flows from one posture to the next so as to increase awareness of the movement of energy as well as prime the body for what’s to come. We will then dive into the specifics of hands on assists for each one of the main standing poses.

May Louie first took yoga in college to fulfill a Phys-Ed requirement and immediately fell in love. She, unfortunately, did not continue with her practice but reconnected with it when she retired from her corporate job in 2002 and has since become a serious yoga enthusiast. After her second retirement in 2017, she completed her 200-hour RYT certification, studying with Dina Crosta, Ellen Mosko, and Jamie Segal Hanley, with a focus on alignment based flow.
