I went to a “Detox Yoga” class on New Year’s Day (like everyone else) and realized it was a detox in so many more ways than just sweating out alcohol or food.
It was mental. It was emotional.
Yoga has become a way for me to realize what I forget to notice. Feelings, programming, habits, all of it. In a detox, I find myself coming face to face with exactly what I need to see. The class gave me the time and space to sit with all of it…
And let it GO.
It was a detox of the fear I was holding on to, the anxiety, the behaviors I adopted to survive.
When I let all that S#*T go, what was left was love.
Detox flows don’t just ring out the toxins, they ring out the crap that is not YOU. The stuff that is not your soul, that is not your true nature. Detox flows and yoga in general returns you to yourself.
This year, I hope you detox all of that S#*T that is not you.
