May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others. May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you are. Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us.

― Saint Terese of Liseaux

This is one of those poses I’ve seen before that I was like, oh that’s pretty and looks simple to do: nope. ✋🏼 The arm positioning is crazy tough, just trying to get my palms to touch was so challenging and wobbly, and then you have to float your knees 😐 after a try or two, falling a couple times, I started to find the groove of it- and ta-da! But really, I love trying poses like this, they challenge your perception – shake you out of your comfort zone- make you rediscover challenge in a pose that might have felt easy or stagnant.

The Eskimos had fifty-two names for snow because it was important to them. There ought to be as many for love. – Margaret Atwood ❄️ thank you @joe_schondel for this photo and for braving the snow with me…but at least you had shoes on 👣 #njyogacollective #love #snowday #onlyloveisreal #eskimo #eskimokisses #seabright

There is always a part of me that doubts my abilities. A little voice inside of my head that whispers “you are not enough”. Most of the times I recognize it for what it is: a memory. The echo of “his” voice, the person that was supposed to love me and instead decided to abuse me. The person who convinced me I had no future without him because I was too weak and banal for this world. But he was wrong. I am enough. I am strong. I am powerful. The past does not come back to hunt us, it simply never leaves. Memories are just a reminder of who we used to be and of how powerful we became. #loveyourself * Photo by @amieretzlaff for @njyogacollective wearing @werkshop . . . #nomore #enough #strong #inversion #inspire #inspiredyogis #yogagirl #yoga #beagoddess #njyogacollective

Looking out towards the future of @yogaessencestudio is a 24/7 job. When you create a business out of passion, you never sleep (obviously you do but the mind is constantly working😉). What I mean is, an eternal flame is ignited inside of you and no matter the temperature, the day, the light or the darkness, that flame burns and it’ll fight like hell to stay burnin’. 🔥 . . . As we continue our transition into the new year, empowered by the energy of the Super Full Blue Blood Moon 🌚, now is the perfect time to commit to practices that nourish your spirit, mind and body. This particular moon is the third in a trilogy of Supermoons🌜🌝🌛(when the moon is closest to Earth in its orbit and so appears 14% bigger. It is a Blue Moon 🌚🌝because it occurs in a calendar month that has two full moons. And it is a Blood Moon🌝because just before dawn on January 31st the Moon will be completely eclipsed by the Earth’s shadow and appears red 🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑🌒🌓🌔 This auspicious and rare event (the last time we had one in this hemisphere was 150 years ago in 1886). As with any full moon it is a time during which subconscious thoughts, desires and fears come up, sometimes in rather sudden, expressive impulsive or out of character ways. Add to this, the energy of the full moon lunar eclipse and this becomes a powerful time of awakening and shifts. People’s true natures (including our own) come to light and momentous decisions, actions and transitions often occur (thing BIG changes, birth, death, marriage, engagement, divorce, a huge career change, or cross global move, etc) These revelations and changes can be what we traditionally deem “good” or “bad” but truly there is no bad. Whatever comes to light, whatever change or transition occurs, all are an opportunity to grow, learn and evolve toward our Higher Truth 🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑🌒🌓 So recommit to the practices that nourish your spirit, heart, body and mind (yoga, walks in nature, meditation, playing music, listening to the laughter of a child) 🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑🌒 Incorporate rituals that encourage a slowing down, processing , releasing and reflection (lighting of candles and incense as you prepare for meditation or prayer, baths with therapeutic essential oils and sea salts, massage, time journaling, writing, painting or practicing some other creative expression). Sometimes walking these transitions is easier with friends. Plenty of opportunities to surround yourself with amazing people walking this incredible journey with you, including:

Highly snackable -definitely mealable (that’s a word now, k?) Roasted Cauliflower with Almond Herb Sauce. All the browned bits are sooo good and this bright and shiny sauce made with toasted almonds, parsley, lemon and other good green things provides an excellent foil for the caramelized goodness. Popular with vegans and omnivores alike. Relish Your Chef coming up with creative mealtime solutions so you don’t have to. 💚 eat well; you’ve earned it. . . . .
