Yin and Pin Workshop

January 20

Yoga Essence, Lebanon

Class will begin with yin yoga asanas that will help release you physically at a deeper level. Poses will be held for longer duration so you can ‘get out of your head.’ Once things begin to open and you relax further,  acupuncturist Diane Choe will offer a de-stress treatment.

Mind, Body and Spirit Cleanse

Experience a 3 Day Yoga-Inspired Cleanse to renew your body, mind, and spirit. Flow and Let Go

Need to unwind from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season? Then join Emma in this 2-hour, unheated workshop to open your body, relax your mind and ground you back down. You’ll begin in seated meditation and then Emma will guide you through a vigorous vinyasa flow to create tapas, or heat, in the body. After cooling down, students will transition into relaxing postures using props to assist in release. Emma will incorporate aromatherapy and sound healing into the practice as well as guided chanting.

Long Slow Deep Yin Practice

This two hour workshop is developed to balance and compliment our usual regimen of vigorous asana. This floor-based practice explores longer holds of 2-10 minutes in relatively basic postures. Simple as in: uncomplicated, but not easy. We slow down the action, slow down the breath and then we slow it down some more. Time becomes timeless and we float and stay grounded at the same time.  NJ YogaMay Louie first took yoga in college to fulfill a Phys-Ed requirement and immediately fell in love. She unfortunately did not continue with her practice but reconnected with it when she retired from her corporate job in 2002 and has since become a serious yoga enthusiast. After her second retirement last year, she completed her 200 hour RYT certification, studying with Dina Crosta, Ellen Mosko and Jamie Segal Hanley, with a focus on alignment based flow.
