Meditate With April

Meditation is another dimension of natural beauty. People talk about appreciating natural beauty—climbing mountains, seeing giraffes and tigers in Africa, and all sorts of things. But nobody seems to appreciate this kind of natural beauty of ourselves. This is actually far more beautiful than flora and fauna, far more fantastic, far more painful and colorful and delightful.

From April:
For the second week of our meditation practice, you will come to lie on your back, either with the feet on the floor and the knees up, or (if comfortable) you can bring the soles of the feet together and knees wide.
This technique is similar to Apa Japa from week one, but with a little more awareness on the inhale. It also asks us to go a little deeper in the observation.
Special note: lying on the back can often help us have a deeper experience, noticing the movement of the breath, since we are not using muscles to help us sit upright.
This technique take about 7 minutes. Try to practice every day.
