Create a one-of-a-kind dream-catcher for yourself or as a special Mothers Day gift. Research shows that crafting has a lot in common with meditation and can improve problem-solving skills, reduce stress and anxiety, and improve the overall quality of life. Dream-catchers are, in essence, a symbol of acceptance, mindfulness, and healing.
In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn about and practice activity-oriented mindfulness meditation while invoking your creativity to make your very own dream-catcher. Relax, unwind, and connect with yourself and each other through the process of creating a symbol of your inner beauty. All supplies will be provided, but you can also bring any personal tokens, such as crystals, stones or gems to personalize your dream-catcher.

This Mother’s Day, give yourself the gift of self-care and deep peace. Join us for an evening class to relax, release and recharge your body, mind, and spirit. Restorative yoga uses many props to fully support the body in postures, allowing for a complete release of tension and fostering deep relaxation. It is different from gentle or yin yoga; there is no stretching or effort involved. In this class, you just sit back and relax! The practice has been shown to have many health benefits including reduced heart rate and blood pressure, increased immunity, decreased insomnia and relief from hot flashes.
May Louie first took yoga in college to fulfill a Phys-Ed requirement and immediately fell in love. She, unfortunately, did not continue with her practice but reconnected with it when she retired from her corporate job in 2002 and has since become a serious yoga enthusiast. After her second retirement last year, she completed her 200-hour RYT certification, studying with Dina Crosta, Ellen Mosko, and Jamie Segal Hanley, with a focus on alignment based flow.
