Wednesday Awakenings

Meditate With April

(week three found here)

Our meditation this week again includes a breathing technique and a visual. We’ll practice Padadhirasana (breath balancing pose), just as we did last week, as a part of the meditative process.
By way of reminder, here is how you find your way into the posture:
  • Sit in vajrasana.
  • Cross the arms in front of the chest, placing the hands under the opposite armpits with the thumbs pointing upward, or, for a stronger effect, make fists of the hands and place them under the armpits.
  • Close the eyes and become aware of the breathing process.
We will also incorporate a mantra into this week’s meditation:
“Om Shanti.”
Shanti means peace.
This is a wonderful practice to help you feel calm and send positive energy out into the world. It is only about 10 minutes. Try to practice every day!
