Friday-YAY!

Truth? We look forward to Fridays SO much because of THIS post. Sure, it’s a simple one, but come on! When we create it, we get to enjoy 30 minutes of concentrated NJ-yogi-LOVE-time.

It’s a chance to STOP all the chaos and comb through incredible images of NJ yogis. #magical

So thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for using our hashtag. #NJYOGACOLLECTIVE shows more than 5K posts and it is growing every single day on IG.

We appreciate it. We are grateful, and we hope it gets to 10K by the time VibeWell happens (October 14, 2018 – our first FESTIVAL!)

Here are our faves of the week.

XO,

Amie and Bridge

Finding balance and problem solving in yoga is a lot like life. Trial and error until it feels just right. No other yogi I’d rather try this pose with than my girl @katiefanningyoga 💫 inspired by @tiny.kirsty @heatherlynnfit 🙏

#soulthentic | when you learn how to greet Life with open hands, a free mind and a liberated body, your authenticity begins to reflect Light #sattva; and in return that light-filled energy begins to reflects #Life. It’s the essence of #anahata, #heartchakra, the giving and receiving of life, light and radiance. 💫 In a world so seemingly dark at times, wouldn’t it be nice that someone like you can teach others how to find their light? . . . . #yogateachertraining #you #soulthenticyoga #yogaforeverybody #yogateacher #yogaforall #yogainstructor #yogaforlife #njyogacollective #njyoga #njyogaevents #inclusiveyoga #accessibleyoga #affordableyoga #meditationspace

YOU DESERVE IT! In the last poll in my Facebook Group, Great Goddess! Support for Women in the Healing Arts, my members told me “inspiration" was their biggest challenge. At first I was surprised, but then realized that was really happening is that they were not devoting enough time to themselves… Remember! You need to FILL YOUR CUP in order to help others in an authentic and lasting way. – By this I do not mean a massage once a week. (Although that is a great idea as well!) What I am talking about is implementing a structure in your day and routine that requires you make yourself as important as your students and clients. I have been teaching yoga for nearly two decades and have realized I need to take care of myself if I am going to sustain my career and also really be able to help those I work with. Practice what you preach, right? I want to help yoga teachers and healers stay creative, inspired and connected through ancient practices and modern day tools, providing them with support so they can shine. I hope you will join me. I’d love to send you a 5 minute video with some tips to help you stay inspired and help you commit to yourself. – You deserve it! go to the link in my bio for the free video! – 📷 @amieretzlaff – – – #njyogacollective #yogateacherlife #jerseyshoreyoga #njyoga #yogamentor #yogaeverywhere #offthemat #businessofyoga #yogaeverydamnday #meditateeveryday #yogapreneur #womenhealersoftheworld #womenhealers #youvegotthis #globalmala #nyyogalife

24 Carrot Kaleidoscope. One of the first pictures I took with my old iphone for Instagram. It was here that I fell in love with the power of insta-imagery. Bold images that speak to my message of fresh, delicious and unfussy food. Also, totally pretty… ❤️🧡💛💜💛🧡❤️ . . . . .

how can you use your gifts to create magic? ✨ there is a reason that thing has been tugging on your heart. there is a reason that skill has been strengthening your career. there is reason that passion has been calling your name. 💗 i have been thinking SO much lately on all i can offer and what i can give for things outside of myself, including communities of women and for those who want what i can offer. i have also been contemplating how i can contribute to the larger society and the unrest i feel 🙏🏾 yesterday, i witnessed what happens when you bring together strengths and collaborate talents. it creates pure magic and takes huge strides. thanks to @yogacollectivenyc owner, nicole, for donating her space for yesterday’s “Keep Families Together: Yoga and Chat with @selfsoulsport and @liveyinsa” 🙇🏾‍♀️ SLIDE TO NEXT PHOTO to see the beautiful souls who came and shared in the first half which was a discussion led by me where we began to process our feelings, brainstorm ways we can support, and how we can leave feeling less hopeless. the second half we enjoyed a beautiful meditation and yin practice by Daniele (@liveyinsa) ✨ we raised a total of $210 for @together.rising and came together as strangers, leaving as one community. yesterday reminded me why i pursue coaching and why i continue yoga teaching. to bring others together is a beautiful thing. i hope to encourage you to do something that tugs on your heart and use your talents to create magic. you can 👏🏾 #selfsoulsport {1st pic @dianadaviscreative 📸 2nd pic @tatianakphoto} • • • • • #nycyoga #nycyogi #practiceandalliscoming #yogaeverydamnday #hbfit #alovesquad #yogacollective #njyogacollective #yogacollectivenyc #blackgirlmagic #girlboss #goddesspose #goddess #mondaymotivation #newyorkyogis #darlingdaily #beyondyoga #mindbodygram #iamwellandgood #blackgirlyoga #blackgirlyogainom

look for things in yourself to love, not to change. grow from there. 👁 #nuggetsbynik (i’m assigning myself this corny hashtag for all my future quotes and writes👌🏼) . it was awesome meeting up with @earth_to_don @sweat.in.gold @shanti_love10 & @nikkicolella for a little yogi photoshoot . pc 📷: @shanti_love10 . . . . #quotes #igquotes #quotesofinstagram #writtenbyme #writersofinstagram #inspiration #yogaphotoshoot #yoga #njyoga #njyogacollective #njyogi #asburypark #myyogajourney #yogaphoto #yogaphotography #yogapose #wheelpose #backbends #heartopeners #instayogi #yogagirl #yogini #yogafit #yogainspiration #igfitness #instafit #yogaeverydamnday #igyogacommunity #yogapractice

“When your heart speaks, take good notes”—Judith Campbell ❤️ . . . Have you ever felt so full that your heart could burst? That’s how I feel tonight Namely because I was surrounded by my family and friends for an epic summer celebration in NJ last night And this whole week has been an impossibly amazing one, from the 4th of July to meeting my best friends little baby girl to yoga on the beach 🏝 It’s been a week where old friends and new have come together And we closed it out with an incredibly gorgeous night to dance and celebrate under the stars . . . But even as I am in Newark airport waiting in security to go to London right now, I’ve never felt so closely tied and connected to my community and family Part of my healing process this year has been to fully open up to all the goodness life offers me While creating boundaries to avoid those that offer darkness And truly knowing and believing I deserve those good things While having the right to let go of the people and things that don’t serve me or help me grow But part of what I’m also learning about and practicing in Ayurveda is knowing that in pitta season, we need more grounding Family and community definitely helps to ground us It reminds us of where we come from It allows us to kick back with the people we know and love best All while reminding us about what matters most . . . Hoping all of you are having an equally epic summer celebrating and having fun with your people While also being sure to engage in self-care because (in case you need a reminder): You deserve the best 🙏🏻💕

How many emotions do you feel in a day? Lately I’ve been noticing that circumstances are insignificant. Whether I spend the day alone or surrounded by people, I feel almost every emotion on the spectrum. It’s easy to attribute external influences as the source for our happiness or pain, but in truth we create all of our own emotions with our thoughts, perceptions, and state of mind. If we want to experience more peace, joy, & love in our life, we have to instill it within first.
