Therapy Ball and Movement Workshop with Liz Tyburczy
Sunday at Elevate Yoga in Hazlet
Whether you are a yogi, an athlete or a desk-jockey this workshop will help you build a deeper understanding of your hips, and lower back
Back pain can easily be mistaken for hip pain and discomfort. The joint of your hip is located near your spine. For that reason, discomfort in your hip can resemble or actually cause back pain. Join me and learn some simple Self Myofascial techniques using the Yoga Tune Therapy balls. From my personal experience soft myofascial release tools can work to cause desirable changes in tissues, especially when combined with movement, breath control, and hydration. Stop abusing your Tissues with hard tools. Applying more pressure using a hard foam roller or a lacrosse ball does not always equal better. Soothe your tissues, it doesn’t have to hurt to work. You will also learn some simple movements to build stability, strength and flexibility.
Sunday at Honor Yoga in Princeton
Experience Yoga as a family!
Family Yoga is a great way to bond with your family and meet new families. Practice yoga together with music, games, partner poses and more! Everyone is welcome, no yoga experience necessary!
Sunday at Align Amar Yoga in Tinton Falls

Mindful movement will gently give way to stillness, as Stephanie Barrios-Cullins (RYT-500) settles the space with blissful Restorative Yoga poses to relax and soften body and mind. All funds raised will directly support Yoga Gives, a non-profit organization focused on providing accessible yoga practices and holistic healing for underrepresented communities and women of diverse backgrounds. Their visions is to provide women and underrepresented communities with accessible holistic healing and spiritual guidance to enhance their health and quality of life.
May Louie first took yoga in college to fulfill a Phys-Ed requirement and immediately fell in love. She, unfortunately, did not continue with her practice but reconnected with it when she retired from her corporate job in 2002 and has since become a serious yoga enthusiast. After her second retirement in 2017, she completed her 200-hour RYT certification, studying with Dina Crosta, Ellen Mosko, and Jamie Segal Hanley, with a focus on alignment based flow.
