True story – there is nothing we love more than seeing a teacher (or studio) tag us at @njyogacollective and/or #njyogacollective with details for an amazing event, workshop, immersion, or training they are hosting. We check ALL the time and we are going to make a big effort to share the love right here when we see something special.
Translation: TAG US!!!!!!
With that in mind, check out the visuals for these MUST do events + read on to discover everything we are excited to dig into this week all over the (getting much colder) state of NJ.

Saturday at Bhakti Barn Yoga in Millburn
For centuries, humans have gathered together, using music, fire and the darkness of night to evoke deep, transcendent mind states. Our ancestors were opened and transported on an inward journey leading to feelings of deep relaxation, healing, restoration and insight. During this meditative Inner Journey, we will follow these same ancient, communal practices. Enter the room quietly and choose your space. We will begin with walking meditation and mindful movement to open the heart and body. As the music softens, you will be invited to sit or lie down. Music has been carefully selected to relax the body, calm the mind and open wide the heart. You simply surrender to the experience. And behold… Since the evening will be in relative quiet, beforehand we will send you an email describing how the evening of The Inner Journey will unfold: the setting, the music, mindful movement, “cocooning”, etc.

Chakra Flow with Gina Pachkowski
Saturday at Alluem Yoga in Cranford
This workshop is focused on our Chakras or Wheels of Life and the mind-body connection. You will learn the 7 major chakras, or energy channels in our bodies that line the length of our spine. Chakras are designed to distribute prana or energy throughout the entire body. The more energy that is distributed through these open energy channels, the healthier the body. Life, humanity and trauma blocks that energy impacting the way in which the body is processing information. We want these channels open. In this workshop we will practice a chakra flow to help aid in opening these energy channels to live a healthy, balanced and present life.

May Louie first took yoga in college to fulfill a Phys-Ed requirement and immediately fell in love. She, unfortunately, did not continue with her practice but reconnected with it when she retired from her corporate job in 2002 and has since become a serious yoga enthusiast. After her second retirement in 2017, she completed her 200-hour RYT certification, studying with Dina Crosta, Ellen Mosko, and Jamie Segal Hanley, with a focus on alignment based flow.
